At Eunioa Institute, Moniquea Spiteri and Rocio Roman have combined their unique lived experience and expertise to create a team capable of offering the highest quality training and educational services. Moniquea a previous Forensic Specialist Support Facilitator and Rocio a former Senior Court Case Manager/Senior Prosecutor, the two have been working together since 2016 to create and provide a comprehensive approach to training, education and service system reform. The dynamic duo are passionate about helping others become better equipped and empowered to support individuals working with challenging cohorts.

Moniquea Spiteri
Director
Moniquea is a distinguished Somatic Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in mental health and trauma recovery. She specialises in a body-centred, somatic approach to healing trauma and stress for individuals, couples, and groups.
A leader in mental health system reform and consumer advocacy, Moniquea led the development of the PIR (Partners in recovery) co-location project and pioneered a groundbreaking pilot program integrating a Psychiatric Nurse within Dandenong Community Correctional Services. In partnership with Monash Health, this initiative set a precedent for integrated mental health care across Victoria’s community corrections system.
Her contributions have earned high recognition, including the 2016 Victorian Premier’s Volunteer Champions Award and the 2017 Business Woman of the Year title. As a Teaching Assistant with the Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute, she mentors professionals in trauma recovery. Renowned for her visionary leadership and strategic advocacy, Moniquea drives systemic change, forging partnerships that create sustainable, community-led solutions in mental health and justice services.

Rocio Roman
Director
Rocio, is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of experience in the training industry. She has a background in psychology, mental health, and criminal justice.
Rocio has a Graduate Diploma of Mental Health from Victoria University and previously worked as a Senior Court Case Manager and Senior Prosecutor. She has a keen interest in researching factors affecting offender's recidivism and repeat offending among the criminal population.
With her background as a Senior Court Case Manager/Senior Prosecutor, she has a unique insight into the criminal justice system that she brings to her courses. By joining our training programs, you will gain an in-depth knowledge of your industry and the tools you need to succeed.
Rocio is joined by an experienced team of professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible training solutions to their clients.
